****Important: The term “same-day access” is an important concept for understanding what is going on with this deal. Please, pay extra attention to that part.

Access & Schedule:
With your rent you will have access to multiple rooms, and will be able to schedule multiple sessions each week. Typically, this comes in the form of having one session that is reserved for you every week, and being able to book additional days/evenings on a same-day basis. Another common, affordable, option is to have same-day access only. Different deals may be available depending on your scheduling needs, and there is always greater flexibility/availability outside of the prime-time/peak-demand hours.
The length of time available for each session will depends on which day and which time it is. Often, you can start as early as you like, and go as long as you want. Sometimes, like the weekends, it may depend on whether another group is schedule before/after you, or not. For example, if your regular spot is on a Sunday/Saturday starting at 5pm, you’ll likely be able to play as late as you want, but whether you can start earlier than that will depend on whether someone else has the room booked till 5pm. If not, you can start earlier, but still according to same-day availability. Most weeknights have the flexibility of being able to start as late as you want, and to go as late as you want.
Same-Day Access:
First, understand that same-day access is not the limit to your access. Typically you will have a locked-in regular weekly spot that you will always have reserved just for you, in advance, every week. Same-day access is the additional access you will get on top of the regular/locked-in/guaranteed schedule that you have. It’s the free/bonus part of doing this deal vs. hourly bookings. “Same-day access” means that you cannot, necessarily, plan on having a room available to you any number of days in advance. You have to wait until the same day, then see what is still available at that time. It’s kind of like “first-come-first-serve” except that you don’t have to physically show up on site to see what is available and make a reservation. You will have access to the online calendar and will be able to see availability and make your reservation remotely.
That said, outside of the prime-time/peak-demand hours there is almost always a room available. So, you could realistically make plans to come in during those hours without much worry about it.
So, here’s a concrete example of all of this: You pay $160.00 per month for Room 3 on Monday nights. With that you have 6:30pm till 9:30pm reserved for you (this is just an example). That’s a locked-in, standing, reservation on the calendar that is always there, for every week, no need to do anything other than show up at that time each week. On one such Monday night, while you’re standing there in the room, just after you totally nailed that last take, you say to your mates, “Hey, we should get together and do an extra rehearsal, on Friday night, before that gig we have on Saturday night.” Your mates all agree. So, you all plan to do that, but you don’t actually reserve a room just yet, though you know it probably won’t be a problem. On Friday morning, you get your cup of coffee, sit down at your computer, and pull up that calendar. You see that Rooms 2,3,6, and 7 are all available that night, and, conveniently, Room 6 is the one you like. So, you put yourself on the calendar for Room 6 that night, and Bob’s your uncle.
Storage:
Storage lockers are available. You will need your own padlock. The lockers are located outside of the rooms. So, you will always be able to access your stored gear (24-7, this is one of the reasons for the security deposit). Lockers are available in sizes 2x2x4′ (16 cubic feet) or 2x2x8′ (32 cubic feet).
Parking:
There is abundant free parking on site and in the public surroundings.
FAQ:
What are the rates?
Rates vary from $120 to $280 per month depending on your needs (Most people pay in the $120-$200 range. Prices above that are for the largest rooms at the most sought-after hours). If you’re looking to have a regular spot during the hours that are available on the hourly booking calendar, you can expect the monthly rate to be in the ballpark of what it costs to make that same hourly booking four times in a month (fifth days of the month are bonus for you). If you’re looking for a regular spot outside of those hours, you can expect the monthly rate to be a little less than that.
Can I get a discount if I don’t need the storage, etc…?
Concerning the price, the limiting factor is how many prime-time/peak-hour sessions per week are available. Peak hours are Monday thru Thursdays 6-11:00 PM, and Sundays 2:00-8:00 PM. To have access during peak hours, prices start at $140 per month. The lowest rate ($120) is available for people who will strictly use the rooms outside of those times. Storage is offered as separate add-on with its own price ($20-$40).
What are the benefits to this?
-Considerably less expensive than a private room.
-Your cost of rent does not vary as other bands leave/join.
-High-quality PA, and other gear, is provided.
-Bands that you share with can’t mess with, steal, or break your gear.
-If another band is unreliable in paying rent, it does not affect you.
-More flexibility in scheduling, and more time available, compared with hourly, and when you have access to multiple rooms.
-Having a share and access to multiple rooms greatly increases the availability of a room at any time.
-Having a structured, regular, rehearsal time each week can greatly benefit the success of your project.
Do you require a security deposit?
Yes.
Can I use the space for both of the bands I am in?
Probably not. Maybe, if you have two reserved nights and want to use one night for one band and the other night for the other band, or alternate weeks with your one night.
Can I share my share with another band or person not in my project?
No, people have been caught doing this and lost their access entirely.
Is there sound dampening materials on the walls or any kind of acoustic treatment?
Yes.
How well are the rooms isolated from other rooms?
Some of the rooms are very well isolated, others have still been good enough for the hundreds of musicians who regularly book them.
What about Room 5?
Sorry, Room 5 is not included or part of this deal.
